Is Your Beard Ready for Spring?

Is Your Beard Ready for Spring?

It's no secret that a sharp change of weather can have an impact on your facial fur. As the climate switches from cold and dry to a much warmer and humid environment, naturally your beard care routine will slightly change to accommodate. Below are 3 easy to follow, practical steps that you can apply, to ensure your beard stays looking glorious throughout this spring.

1) Shape Up & Beard Shedding

With hotter and more humid climates your beard hair becomes more brittle and damaged from the suns exposure which can lead to breaks. Getting rid of split ends, is one way that you can stop the brittleness from the ends of your beard. Some like to pay a visit to their local barber, whilst others like to trim up at home with their favourite beard trimming tool. Having a tidier mane will do wonders when it comes to stopping breakages and looking sharp.

2) Beard Hydration

The sun's UV rays and heat will leave your beard slightly more dry. Hydration is key to combat this. To keep it looking and feeling soft, make sure to use a beard conditioning product like beard butter, beard conditioner or leave in beard conditioner. Combine this with beard oil for the extra conditioning and a fresh feeling. Whilst you don't need to apply beard butter everyday, using beard oil as part of your daily beard routine can help with delivering consistent hydration. Use less drops during warmer periods to avoid overdoing it.

3) Beard Wash - But Don't Overdo It

Washing is key to removing the grime, dust and pollen build up during spring. Ensure you stick to your regular washing routine as missing a few days can be the difference between a healthy beard and a beard that's in need of some total love and care. To help get rid of more frequent build up, you can rinse your beard with warm water in the shower and then apply your beard oil to your warm face. This will help reduce increased build up and will prepare your beard for this spring season.

Why Not Try A New Style?

Spring brings new opportunities, so why not try out a different beard style. There are an unlimited number of styles you can try out. Some beardsmen like the classic Viking Braid, which shows off your masculine style and draws attention like nothing else. Others prefer the groomed sharp chin style with a twist of a handle bar moustache for an extra fancy touch. Whilst some like the natural presence of their beard falling naturally in its place and commands attention just by it's sheer size.

Summary

No matter which beard type, or how long your beard is, if you follow the steps above, you're sure to take on spring like a champion. Be prepared to get complimented and asked about how your beard looks like you go to the barbershop every day.
